In 2018 I trained with Ellen Heed and Kimberly Johnson in the STREAM system, addressing scar tissue remediation, education and management. While I am a 2018 Certified STREAM Practitioner, I am now also currently enrolled in the "STREAM 2.0" 2-year training and mentorship with Ellen Heed. 

STREAM Works to Resolve Pain Related to:

87% of women who have children end up with scar-related problems, which include incontinence, prolapse, and painful sex. Scar tissue remediation is at the cutting edge of the new skills needed in order to work effectively and holistically with birth injuries, obstetric, and gynecologic surgeries. These include colposcopies and hysterectomies, endometriosis, gender reassignment surgeries, intersex interventions and non-specific pelvic pain.

How Does STREAM Work?

Scar tissue remediation work happens in a one-on-one setting and includes hands-on manipulation, trauma counseling, client education about self-care protocols, support for lifestyle and nutritional changes, along with active relaxation tools. It takes all of these elements to remediate and manage scar tissue, minimize inflammation to discourage its proliferation, and engage the nervous system to change one's relationship to pain. Clients experience healing at the root level.

Scar tissue remediation is at the cutting edge of healing. Until now, scar tissue has not been considered a factor in the mainstream conversation about health. A tremendous number of people need these services. STREAM is the first multi-dimensional hands-on modality that addresses scar tissue in a way that can potentiate sexual, reproductive, and overall health.
STREAM is an integrative system whereby client and practitioner work together to listen to and hear
​the whole story the body has to tell. Together, the story is heard at multiple levels:

  • Verbal/Cognitive Level: the story of what happened and the impact it has had on one's psyche at both conscious and unconscious levels
  • Fascial Level: how it manifests as tension patterns that affect posture
  • Boney Level: how the free movement of the bones is affected
  • Bio-chemical Level: how hormonal and dietary imbalances create both emotional and physical tension and pain
  • Somatic/Emotional Level: how what happened is stored in the tissue as emotional tension, creating postural distortion
